Today we didn’t stop! We were picked up by our RC Rabedeul host Alexander Wolf and visited the home of their Rotary club, a magnificent winery! We then visited a school, akin to a private college such as our vocational education and training sector in Australia. it was nice to hear Australia so positively regarded – except we were all melting in jeans as it was 31 degrees today and we were not prepared! The afternoon led us to a mysterious residence of Johann Georg 1 in 1650 called hoffschlossnitz…and then to a hunting castle (which is where the disney Cindarella castle was based on,magical!) We spent an interesting evening with the RC at a distillery where our meeting consisted of trying 9 schnapps varieties and a small opportunity to meet with some members afterwards. It was a lovely evening albeit some supper would have been nice ;P Tomorrow “we take Berlin!” which we are all excited about as it includes lunch at the Reichstag. Auf wiedersehn for now!
